Seeing comments next to edits would allow us to move through documents more efficiently.

We would love to be able to see the comment next to the edit in the document.

To make this even more user-friendly, comments should be next to the edits made.
Carey Dempsey
It would be ideal if in this update we could see the comments next to the revisions in the document. That would make the review process much easier

In addition to this compare revisions is there a way to merge the ability to review the comments nexts to the revisions. Is it a little clunky to toggle back and forth to see the comment that was the catalyst of the revision and the how the copy was revised to meet the reviewers request.
Sherry Shifflet
Yes! This would be so helpful. It could be a simple as giving me an option to hit a "save this as a version" button or being able to compare the version at a specific stage in the project vs. the stage it's at now.

If you edit an item over an extended period of time (e.g. half a day), GatherContent autosaves many revisions. This means if someone wants to see what edits have been made, they have to view each revision. This can be annoying and make it difficult to see what specific changes have been made over a period of time.

Meryl McCay: Just to add a specific example: We have an editorial review phase in our projects. I would really like to be able to compare the version I submitted for editorial review with the version that then goes to the SME after ed review is finished. Seeing all of the edits in one go allows me to get a better idea of ed review approach (as they're reviewing across the whole project while I'm only drafting for specific sections) so I can adjust content I'm still working on and hopefully make the whole process more efficient.
