Improving content organisation inside a project
complete
Angus Edwardson
This is a three month theme of work which is mainly about improving the way content is grouped and organised in the 'Content' tab in a project.
It will come with some huge performance improvements, allowing us to handle extremely large volumes of items without any lag.
We'll also be introducing some new tools for keeping things nicely organised and flexible; tags, moving items between projects, in-line reordering of items, and the ability to create folders for groups of items.
Here's a preview design: https://projects.invisionapp.com/share/W5PL9F9SX4M

We're going to move this to complete now as we've launched the content hub, which solves the majority of the issues brought up here 🍾🥂
You can learn more about the new content hub here: https://gathercontent.com/launch/content-hub
Let us know what you think, and if you've not been upgraded to the new version yet you should be notified with details soon 📨

I don't think it's very obvious that the sitemap icon on the left-hand nav here acts as a de-facto site structure, showing parent/child relationships between pages. This also has the same issue as the current parent/child UI in that there's obvious way to quickly open/close different levels of the structure.
