Include comments in exports
John Herman
We would like to be able to include all unresolved comments and the discussions in an export to PDF or Word Doc, and all project exports.
Use case - when clients are distributing revisions internally, they do not always want someone to have access to Gather Content.

Agree, this should be standard functionality. For both workflow and archiving purposes

Agee, would be ideal for for us as well

Agree - we need for record keeping of comments and inputs to decision making and is looking to be a major reason why we may need to review use of Gather.

Agree. We deliver to the client via a Word export, and currently we have to manually add the client-facing comments.
Dee Warring
totally agree - comments are essential for content owners to understand why you have written something a certain way and asking them for specific input on a section.

We use comments to flag items for client follow-up. When clients require us to deliver Word docs (not unusual), we have to transfer these comments - huge timesuck on a big project.

Another usecase: We have to store Word-documents with all the comments of our legal department, which is not possible at the moment. My nightmares consist of me exporting Gathercontent items and manually copy-pasting comments.

That would be very useful especially when amending text and using the comments feature to edit copy.
