This would save me loads of time when creating articles, and any content with images within text. Right now I have to add images in text after I've published.

Hi everyone, I'm excited to announce that this week we are rolling out inline images to all our customers. Some of you may already have access to the feature, but if not don't worry as the rollout will be complete this week.
Inline images provides the ability to insert images into text fields. This can be images from your project file library, or an external image hosted elsewhere via copy & paste.
We have also implemented the ability to apply some basic formatting to your images, such as crop, crop direction and dimensions, with more on the way such as focal point and image quality.
More information about these settings can be found at the following help article:
We haven't yet implemented inline image inside guideline fields, but we'll update you once we have more information.
I hope you enjoy the feature.

James Peacock: Great stuff! Thank you!

Please also consider the ability to add images to guidelines fields. Users always struggle with visualizing how a component will look on the website once implemented and it would be great to show an example.

Ability to paste images directly in GC

Currently in gather content you cannot include images as part of the content layout. Images today are integral part of content and are often used to substitute certain parts of overall content, esp. in business documents.
Please enable GC to paste image directly into content instead of attaching them as attachment.

Thanks for the input here, everyone!
This will be done as part of some improvements to the way we handle images and assets at the start of next year. We're going to be very much re-thinking how we approach digital asset management.
As part of this we're going to allow you to have a library of images and assets that can be embedded in text fields, and also re-used across your projects. Makes sense!
We'll update you all here once we're ready to do some testing.

Seems a natural fit: text & images. I'm all for it!
