Bring back hierarchy view on the page level "item list"/left rail menu
Kristen Brown
The previous view showed the pages in their hierarchical order, this current view is not useful to my organization with the way we use Gather Content for website/CMS page writing. Some of our sites are over 500 pages and some pages are similarly named, this makes it more difficult to find what were looking for and when adding that approved content into the CMS. Please add a filter view to bring back the hierarchy here.

While I'm writing content, I'd love to be able to quickly navigate to the next (or any) page vs. hitting the back button

See where an item sits in the content tree on the item page

You should be able to see where a content item sits in the content tree when you open the item/are on the item page.
At the moment when you're on the page and go to the content tree, it doesn't show you where the item sits. This could either be on the content tree, or breadcrumbs at the top of the page.

planned
With the recent release of Hierarchy in the Content Hub, we are planning to roll out hierarchy across the item list menu. It will be part of a new theme of work surrounding the improvement of our authoring experience, starting with navigation in the content editor. Thanks for your input on this so far.

Yes, the organization we had previously was much better for the way we use it to order and organize website content.

We were just 'upgraded' to this new view and it has everyone very confused. I agree Josh, the changes Gather has been making have got me wondering why still bother with it.

not sure why ANYONE would want pages in alphabetical order instead of their Hierarchical order. So disappointing that this change was made and frankly Gather Content is becoming unusable. Time to start looking for other options.

I agree, the lack of structure is slowing down our team and our clients.

Thanks for raising this Jaelithe Swan.
It is possible to see a breadcrumb inside an item, showing where it is in the content tree, in the new content hub version of GatherContent.
Here's our help doc, showing how that looks:
https://help.gathercontent.com/en/articles/2844505-welcome-to-the-new-content-hub#in-item-breadcrumb
It looks like you're not using the content hub yet. If you'd like to be upgraded, please drop us a message using the blue bubble inside GatherContent and we can organise that for you :)
I hope this explanation helps!
Thanks,
Kay
