Do not auto-delete comments

If someone comments on a phrase and the phrase is edited out, the comment disappears. Sometimes our clients want to be able to see their comments even after we've updated the phrase, to make sure it was done. I'd like it if we had to just manually resolve every comment, giving us more control over comment resolution

We are currently working on a solution to this, due to be released in the next few weeks. When content associated with a conversation is removed, the conversation will no longer be banished to the comment history, and will instead be denoted with a warning icon. See attached screenshot.
As it stands, the release of this feature will bring all previous conversations that this has happened to in the past back into the item, and out of the comment history. How do you feel about this approach?

James Peacock: Does this mean that you will be able to see the original text and the comment associated with it, or just the comment?
James Peacock
Kathy Petrat: Hi Kathy. At the moment it is just the comment(s). The focus here is to allow users to manage their conversations appropriately when content is removed, whether that be resolve or delete. Being able to view original content associated with a conversation isn't off the table, it's just not on the immediate roadmap.

this! Also if you copy paste a bite of text, the comments disappear. Very annoying if you want to rearrange your text without losing the comments

I find that, although the comment disappears, it remains unresolved. I often have to go into the comments section to resolve comments that you can no longer see in the content view. I would also like it if the comments remained on the content view when the text they relate to is deleted.
