Hi everyone, we're reviewing single sign on options now, so it would be great to learn a bit more about your requirements. What type of SSO compatibility would you be looking for? Thanks, Angus 🙌

Angus Edwardson: The tech staff from our uni have provided the following:
"As an IdP FedUni uses ADSF4.0 (Windows 2016) for SSO;
GatherContent as a Service Provider (SP) will need to be able to support SAML2.0 for authentication.
We would I assume want to be able to configure the account in Gather Content first ie: allow username “rreese” to log in.
We wouldn’t want any staff member to be able to log in with out us setting up their account first."

that's brilliant Raylene Reese, thanks so much for sharing!
We're planning this feature right now, so your details are really helpful. I'll double check with the team but it sounds like the current plan should work for you and so I'll keep you in the loop with our progress. We should definitely have something available for you in the next two months ☺

Angus Edwardson: Hi Angus, Are you able to provide an update on this feature request? With thanks, Raylene

Raylene Reese: Hi Raylene, and everyone 👋
I do have some good news actually - we have now built an SSO set-up which we are testing out with a customer right now!
It's very much in 'beta' and built around a single customer for now, and so it could be a while before we are able to roll it out and pack it up for everyone to use - but I would be happy to get early access arranged for anyone here that is interested? Having a quick call where we walk you through it and ask a few questions would be a good starting point if that works?
Let me know, and thanks for being involved,
Angus

Thanks Angus Edwardson: I'd love to get early access to see how it is progressing.

Would be helpful to allow users within organisations to use their own sign-in credentials, rather than having to create another login.
